Buying Solead

Payment takes place on a page operated by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland). Stripe collects your payment details and shares with us your name, email address, billing country and the payment details we need for accounting; we never see your full card number. Stripe acts under its own privacy policy.

We use these details to deliver Solead and your licence, to answer you, and to meet our accounting and tax obligations. Legal bases: performance of the contract and legal obligations. Emails you send us

When you write to us, including to be told when Solead is available, we use your address only to answer you. We delete “notify me” requests once we have sent that notice [TO COMPLETE: retention of other emails].

The Solead app

Solead runs on your laptop. Your songs, recordings, setlists and band data stay on that laptop and on your band’s local network. The app contains no analytics and no telemetry.

Lyrics from LRCLIB. When you ask Solead to fetch the lyrics of a song, it sends the song’s title, artist and duration to LRCLIB (lrclib.net), a free lyrics database run by a third party. The request identifies the app as Solead with this website’s address, and LRCLIB sees your IP address. Nothing is sent unless you ask for it.

AI assistance (coming soon). If you choose to use it with your own OpenAI or Gemini key, the content you select is sent to that provider under your own account and its terms. Nothing is sent if you do not use it.

Transfers outside the European Union

Stripe and Railway may process data in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses [TO COMPLETE: check each provider’s current mechanism].

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format, by writing to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
